This was my first time in Sicily. But what a great time!
My friend (and talented DJ / producer) Andrew Consoli had organised it so that everything went flawless and with high spirits:
That was a great and fun night!
I’ve had the pleasure to be interviewed by an influencial blog, BackSeatMafia, about starting a label in the digital age. Read here.
I’ve just spent two amazing weeks in Berlin.
Attended the inspiring Loop convention for music creators. Played at a private party and at VonMimi showcase at Hošek Contemporary gallery. Clubbed (that’s Berlin, after all!). Planned big things with Reuben from Mile High Sounds. Created two tracks with my talented friend Ornery. Been invited to the fun opening of Zazie restaurant. Etc.
The downside? It often was minus 4 Celsius!
Here’s my new track ‘Leo’, based on housey stabs and an interesting melodic breakdown. I’ve asked some talented artists to remix it, with Ornery bringing in his unmistakable deep progressive touch, Sue La Vie developing a glitchy techno bounce, and Esotera delivering a darker yet melodic techno vibe. I like the result, hope you like it too!
Lots of activities in Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Dance Event: panels, conferences, counselling, demopitch, meetings, restaurants, parties (this Gashouder club is something!), walking along the canals, equipment testing, etc.
In a previous life, before even thinking of creating Flemcy Music, I was living under the sun of Malaysia (and enjoying its extraordinary cuisine). There, through my music connections, I met Gautam Khaw, a young and promising DJ/producer.
Fast forward a couple of years, and here we are with this epic orchestral progressive (even ‘angry’ as I got in a feedback), soon to be released on my label Flemcy Music:
My track Peter Pavlov – Memories (JP Lantieri ‘balearic’ remix) is part of a superb release by Flemcy Music which has reached the 8th position on the Beatport Progressive releases top 100 chart. Quite proud of this!
